Bahujan Samaj Party’s Lok Sabha candidate from Aligarh, Gufran Noor, has suffered a sudden heart attack. He has been admitted to a private hospital in the city. Gufran Noor’s supporters are praying for his safety.

Bahujan Samaj Party had declared Gufran Noor as its candidate from Aligarh Lok Sabha constituency for the Lok Sabha elections 2024. It was announced by BSP national general secretary and former MP Babu Munkad Ali. After the nomination process started, preparations were going on to file nomination in BSP also. On March 31, at 1 pm, the candidate suffered a heart attack. He was hurriedly admitted to a private hospital in the city. There is a crowd of his supporters at the hospital. Supporters are praying for his safety.

Due to the deteriorating condition of the BSP candidate before nomination, various discussions are being held in the political circles regarding the ticket. There is talk that BSP may change its candidate from Aligarh Lok Sabha constituency. The organization has not yet officially given any information on this. Let us tell you that Gufran Noor has been the District President of AIMIM. Earlier in the year 2012, he had contested elections from Barauli assembly constituency on Quami Ekta Dal ticket. In this he got about four and a half thousand votes. In the year 2023, he contested the mayor’s election on AIMIM ticket, where he got about fourteen and a half thousand votes. Now he is contesting elections for the third time.

Gufran Noor has been in many parties. He started his politics from National Democratic Party. Then he joined Quami Ekta Dal and also contested assembly elections from Barauli seat. Then joined Aam Aadmi Party. After that they started flying kites of AIMIM. He was also made the District President. A month ago he rode the elephant of BSP.

BSP is in direct competition with BJP

  • BSP’s Rajkumari Chauhan became MP in the 2009 Lok Sabha elections.
  • In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, BJP’s Satish Gautam got 514624 votes. Arvind Kumar Singh of BSP was at second place, who got 2,27,886 votes.
  • In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP’s Satish Gautam got 656215 votes. BSP’s Ajit Balyan stood second, who got 426954 votes.
